Size Guide
It is essential that you choose the correct Hotslings size to be comfortable.
Please use a soft tape measure to determine your shoulder-to-hip measurment. Measure diagonally across your body, from your shoulder to your hip bone. The number (in inches) should be in the 20s.
If you are pregnant, you can measure shoulder to hip bone on your back instead of the front.

Note that Hotslings are sized to hold your baby high on your chest. A newborn will be very snug inside the carrier. We find that this is more comfortable and prefered by experienced babywearers.
If you prefer to carry your newborn lower on your body - near your hips - then please size up.
You may find that you need a smaller size for a heavier, older baby, but it will be easier to get a newborn baby in the carrier.
More people need to exchange for a larger size than a smaller size - especially new mums with newborn infants.

The size chart may show that you fit into more than one size. If you wear heavy clothing, are very tall, have broad shoulders, large breasts,
or otherwise carry most of your weight on top, choose the larger size.
If you are between sizes and have a newborn, try the larger size.
Most people wear a 2, 3, 4, or 5. You may be able to wear more than one size.
Ideal:
Baby is held close to your body "high & tight"
Baby is held at or near your natural waist/belly button
Baby is above your hip bone
Too Small:
Feels uncomfortably tight
Digs into babys legs
It is really hard to get baby in
Too Big:
Baby feels insecure
Your legs bump the baby as you walk
Your back aches after a short time
